All the optimism and hope expressed in Watershed ( earlier post) came good today.

Everything we all hoped for.... finally..... Bloody hell a new strike force.... a dynamic belief - resilience to the enth degree - Balls - call it what you will girls and boys..... this COULD be the start of Pompey revenge upon this league table.

As wished for above with fingers crossed we witnessed it today - growing Confidence; Team spirit ( in bucket loads today) and belief.

Brilliant support today from the brilliant blue army, start to (final) finish - Roll on Saturday, PUP .
It sounded great on the radio. A proper game of football too.
So do we now drop some of them or stick with them?
So, were Bazunu and Morrell the weak links after all. Marquis obviously was.
I've said all season that with the exception of replacing Whatmough this squad is stronger than last season...Baz/Bass at least as good as McGillivray; Romeo better than Johnson;Morrell, Thompson, Williams, Tunnicliffe much better than Naylor & Close; and the forwards the same.

These players have been underperforming all season and it's about time they started producing.
Do we go back to "playing out from the back"?
Yesterday made me realize how boring that can be.
It would be nice if the team had a range of options and the keeper went with the best looking option at the time.
always do the same and it is easy to defend against, mix it up and make lower league defenders think, not usually their strong suit.
