Wonder if jacobs has a knock? Or just being looked after with lots of games in short succession. Ditto for Thompson.
Possibly so for Jacobs although he's never going to get match fit only playing one game every few months!! Thompson probably just dropped as he was really poor on Saturday. Big ask for Reeco.
I did think that playing jacobs reduced the impact of Curtis, probably a case of one or the other for me.
thought Curtis had a lot to do with that goal, good team work, attacking as a pack.
Get in. Harness again. Good first half, playing the pressing game we've been promised. Lincoln
have been very lucky on several occasions trying to play out.

Half-time report
Baz - no probs
Freeman- have to admit, very good first half
Raggers - solid but a silly booking for backchat it seems
Ogivie - solid as he has been lately and nearly scored
Romeo - outstanding
Morrell - doing ok, soft booking
Williams - better today
Reeco - full of tricks, doing well
Harness - another good game, great strike
Curtis - battling away, close on a couple of occasions
Hirst - battling away and had a 50 yard run which he nearly converted.
All in all, an entertaining half. Let's go on a nd win it.
Decent first half by Pompey and Harnesses goal fully deserved.

Lincoln look uncomfortable with Pompey’s press and could have been behind several times in the first half.

More of the same should see a victory but surely Michael Appleton will shake Lincoln up for the second half

Great shame about Raggett’s Yellow card, looks like a very much a makeshift back four for  Gillingham
great run by Hirst. Needs to learn to shoot across the keeper to the far post. That was always the simple solution, keeper saves it and fumbles, back out into play for the winger running in.
Although I rate Marquis pretty highly, his long term injury and lack of impact has seen the team wobble.
Now that he is out, it seems the whole team have a lot more attackers/midfielders who are able to bring others into play.

Teams no longer have to just isolate and nullify Marquis.
another excellent team goal that, old fashioned slide ball, low cross. Well done Hirst. Now we might see a different player as he has his first ever.
Get in Hirst. Great ball from Harness, great golf swing by Hirst
Has Hirst now got to the stage where we are protecting him for the next game?
Great result, 21 shots today. Looked very good going forward and resilient in second half when they came back at us. Curtis really put in a shift and Romeo had an incredible game. Who's missing Marquis?
