Plenty of players leave you with a sense of sadness when they leave or retire.

In my lifetime as a fan…….

Linvoy
Hateley
Walsh
Biley
Hately for me was the big one.
Beresford
Quinn
Anderson
Webb
Walsh
Warren Neil
Prosnecki
Merson
Berger
Stone
Clarke
Whatmough
In no particular order:
Barry Horne
Kevin Dillon
Mick Kennedy
Mick Quinn
Nicky Jennings
Norman Piper
Dave Kemp
Sylvain Distin
Mark Hateley
Neil Webb
Matt Clarke
Adam Webster
Kevin O'Callaghan
Enda Stevens
Jimmy McIlwraith (because he was a neighbour who got me free tickets, not for the actual football!)
Ben Thompson (He was meant to be a season long loan but went back half way through the season, so gutted when he went back to Millwall), Matt Clarke, Adam Webster, Joel Ward, Jamal Lowe, Jed Wallace, Enda Stevens, Kal Naismith (was on fire as we all remember at the end of that L2 promotion season) and from the distant past Darren Anderton but you couldn’t blame the lad or any of them really for leaving, just hard to take that’s all
Arjan DeZeeuw - Our captain. Went for nothing because Perrin was a pillock. Almost cost us our prem status that one.
Lassana Diarra, if that's how it's spelt.
Wallace (definitely a brave heart)
Dave Kemp
Colin Garwood
Mark Hately
Mick Tait (Would we have survived in Div 1 with him onboard!!) Definately deserved a contract
Dave Kemp
Albert McCann
Walshie
Benjani
Letting Mick Kennedy go before we started in the top flight 87/88; bad move IMO.

D'Alessandro; real shame, was genuinely disappointed, loved watching him play.

Recently, Lowe and any 2 from Clarke, Burgess and Whatmough.

"Following his retirement in 2009, De Zeeuw began working as an investigative detective in Alkmaar specialising in forensics....'

Well bugger me sideways, the things you learn...!!!
I was gutted Marquis and Harrison went as I’ve got feck all to moan about currently
Really?
setting aside those who went for big transfer fees such as Hateley

Biley, never understood that one at all.
Walshy

Alan Ball as manager. He looked tired out and needed a rest not the sack.
How far back can we go? Jimmy Dickinson. George Ley, Brian Lewis, Harry Harris. And apart from loads of those mentioned above (Webb, Wallace, Ward and Webster, to name the W's), Matt Ritchie.
Oh, and Matt Taylor too. How could I forget him!

I was gutted about Micky going, I imagine we all were.
But we sold him around Christmas, just when we had finally come to terms with the league and were looking like staying up. From the moment we sold him, the fans knew we were finished.

He went a few days after our best result that year ... the 2-0 win at scum.
Yeh
Hallelujah to what the heck in a few days.
What a high that day was!
Yakubu, what a player and have we ever had a better penalty taker? Remember that one he had to retake three times because of Kamara encroaching.
Dillon?
How about John Aloisi. A star among a sea of dross, and we were forced to let him go on the cheap.

100% agree at the beginning, on his day Yakubu was unplayable; what power!

Towards the end I became very frustrated with him; didn't seem to put the effort in.
