......Americans are in general, cooonts.  This shower just about prove it.    

The more they grind the fans into submission, the less (verbal diarrhoea) we hear from them.  They can't even front up when the chips are clearly down - something they previously accepted they were not doing enough.  Complete silence.  Can't remember the last soundbite from them. Seems the naysayers are increasing in number over the last few days too.
Maybe a reformed PST could make them an offer they couldn't refuse?
Sports ownership in the US has become all about trying to emulate and surpass the moneyball story of the Oakland As. The game to them is to be able to laud it in the faces of their peers that they outperformed them with less.

The Eisner family have form for this with their involvement in NHL, and so it is that they are following the exact same playbook with us.
Come to think of it, how many English clubs are Yankee owned? We seem to have sold our footy souls mostly to Arabs, Asians and East Europeans. Fenway play a straight bat at Liverpool, the Glazers are obviously coonts but who are the others?

I never knew Burnley were Yank owned. Might explain their league position.
