Seems to be a ‘gang’ & has been pretty much since the buyout on there hunting down those that ‘aren’t’ actively seeking to oust Tornante

I think it’s probably wise to let the Eisners finish off the present ground work first - at the very least innit

Quite an abusive crew so they are - often 2/3 will turn up & have a pop at someone that show even a remotely supportive tweet
To be fair anyone who worries about a few keyboard warriors on twatter probably needs to have a good look inside their head. You've got people on there who'll shout you down on anything but the minute you meet them in the street they crap themselves. Can think of one particular legend in his own lunchtime who's sarcastic beyond belief online but go and speak to him face to face and he can't stop using the words 'mate' and 'banter'.

Probably the best approach is to ignore it altogether.
They want the Eisners to sell seeming to be believe there is a queue of people wanting to buy us, not sure what world they live in. Even saw someone saying they were asset stripping lol.

Twatter is just that, a place for egotists to air their often daft views. They gang up on those with differing opinions and feed off each other, convincing themselves that theirs is the prevailing view.

It might come as a surprise to them that the vast majority of people are not on that platform and couldn’t give a shit about it.

The problem comes when the media and a lot of politicians (all of whom are on Twatter to feed their egos)  try to make out that it is somehow a mirror of public opinion.

It is not.
It pains me to say this but well said Gaffer.
Agree Gaffer.

"They gang up on those with differing opinions and feed off each other, convincing themselves that theirs is the prevailing view".

We do have to recognise that this board is no different. Football message boards are amongst the earliest forms of social media.

That’s very true SS.

The difference is that the media and government do not use the views expressed on here and other boards as a justification to set or alter policy (thank fuck).

This is just a talking shop and, certainly as far as the football is concerned, we all have a bias.

PUP  Smile
The media and government have their own agenda(s).

Twitter (and others of that ilk) are just tools in their armoury.

Deebo

Corrected for you Scouse. Big Grin
Twitter's fine for news, current affairs, politics and stuff. As for the trolling and abuse, it's just a microcosm of the rest of cyberspace. If you can't stand the heat etc etc.
Elon musk described it as an arena where you go to do battle.
