TAs they've lost their last 6 matches, should we be worried Big Grin
Yes! This is Pompey

Be afraid, be very afraid  Smile .
There'll be some on here no doubt salivating at the thought of us losing to Crewe.
I'll go for a 2-0 win though
Will it be on though?
Better weather forecast for Crewe tomorrow so hopefully.
Danny's been getting the excuses in early, hasn't he lol

But realistically, we've had a week off, Crew played midweek and Danny has had 2 TW's to get his team together. If he can't rustle up a team that can bulldoze these minnows at a canter, I would be rather concerned.
Who the hell would want us to lose? Not a Pompey supporter IMO then.

Nobody wants Pompey to lose, they just live in the real world.
O'Brien to start please.
Leaving 7.30ish for the game.

We better win Big Grin

Pupppu
Has the team been announced yet?
Doubts, over the pitch.

Match off! Disgraceful less than an hour before kick off

Will there?

Anybody who would salivate at such a prospect couldn’t call themselves Pompey fans could they?

Dreadful late decision!

They should have had an earlier pitch inspection surely?

I really feel sorry for all those travelling Pompey fans.

It seems Blackburn's game has also just been called off 40 minutes before K.O. due to heavy snow.
From the Crewe forum......It's OFF !!! Unbelievable tinpot from top to bottom, I feel sorry for the Pompey supporters it was obvious the game would be in doubt there should have been an inspection at 9 am just seen pictures of the pitch it's obvious it was waterlogged.
It was ok earlier, oop norf. Started pissing down later.

No ones fault……….

Except the Eisners, of course.
They were gritting the M6, at around 8.30-9

Who, the Eisners?
Yeah and it was very poor quality!
Shocking decision, both managers wanted the game played. Managers have a duty of care and I doubt very much they would want to harm any of their players. I know the ref has a H & S decision to make however, if the teams are happy to play and a bit of consideration for the fans that have travelled ,it should've gone ahead.
no win situation.
Call it off early and the sun comes out, we moan.
play it and the pitch is swamped, we moan
play it and a player gets hurt, we moan
Call it off late, we moan
At the end of the day if we opt to travel on a weekend like this, we know there is a chance the game will be off, even off half way through.
and before we criticise Crewe, the pitch in the shadow of the South stand was awful before we spent big on the pitch three times over to get it solved, and even then it was dodgy against sunderland.
Sometimes the English weather wins.
Disappointing decision, especially for those who travelled. Can’t be helped.

Thank goodness we’ve got a game on Tuesday.
Given the state of the training pitches, apparently, this surface should have been ideal for Pompey.
