Not feeling the most confident I've ever felt about a Pompey result today  Dodgy

I'd take a 0-0 to be honest
It’s incredible how up and down we always are. Top at Christmas, we go almost 10 hours without conceding. The defence had been really solid, then Raggers gives away a needless free kick against Hull and the wheels come off. Can’t say I’m confident either and would also take a draw. Charlton not been too clever lately either so a draw may be on the cards. We did win there a couple of years ago spoiling their party. Here’s hoping for a repeat.
I would guess we are going to set up to get a clean sheet and take it from there. Depends a lot on Nichaelson I think, presuming he and Ragget are picked together. There are a few conundrums for Kenny. Daniels for Brown or play both and shore up the left side with one as a more defensive mid perhaps. Jacobs if not. Is it time for Williams to switch back outside...... At least we have a decent squad which gives us plenty of options now in most positions.
Could go either way. Depends which Pompey turns up. The one which will confront the last 2 results with a determination to get back on track or the one that seems unable to get those results out of their heads and it shows in their subsequent play. Sadly the latter has tended to prevail in recent seasons when the new year decline has set in. A draw at best but I won’t be holding my breath.

Would expect a response from them today and a win... however, Charlton tend to put one over on us.. and LB seems to be able to outthink KJ.
KJ has a strange problem in that the squad is big and with only Jack unavailable it's gonna be tricky to keep them all happy. The three new additions will expect to be involved yet there are only 6 places on the bench after reserve goalie. Still can't see what White brings especially as we have several dead ball specialists. He looked very easily pushed off the ball, a criticism often aimed at Close in the past. If Daniels comes in then Brown will be well pixxed off and vice versa. Hiwula must be fed up as was Reeco. Whatever happens we need to start winning again as a winning squad is normally a happy squad.
Well the omens are not good are they?

Bowyer’s record against us, the fact that we are not playing well and not scoring.

Jackett thinks defence at the best of times, so I expect us to shut up shop and try to score on the break from the one or two chances we get.

I’d settle for 0-0 too but I am far from confident.
Charlton have been better away than at home, I believe they have only won four home games this season. When they beat us at Fratton early in the season I thought they were the best team I had seen thus far in League 1 but they have been inconsistent since, they are also something of a bogey side to Pompey.

A battle of the Managers perhaps, Bowyer normally bests Jackett by being very positive, perhaps Kenny will set up to attack more than of late in an attempt to get our season back on track (Just kidding)

Would settle for a 1-1 draw, the dead cert is that Harrison will play at sometime in the game !
Shows what we know lol

What a BIG result! Puts us bang in the mix with some very winnable games coming up.
