I'm having an Emperor Has No Clothes experience with Morell. He has all the same strengths as Close but all the same weaknesses too.
What do you all see in him that I am missing?

Well you might start by asking yourself why you are comparing him to Close, they are totally different types of player.
They are both midfielders but that is where any similarity ends.
Makes two of us. I mean I quite like him, he's ok and works his socks off, but I can't see how he's international quality. He hasn't really taken hold of games and bossed them. Maybe next year...

But more passion than England.
I'd be flabbergasted if Curtis gets any more caps. It would take Ireland having horrendous problems or Curtis suddenly being able to pass cross and shoot. Neither of which I can see happening any time soon.

Not sure I would call current Welsh team POOR.
If Wale do qualify and do ok, it could mean a much increased value for Morrell if he goes along and plays a game or three.

we should keep him fit if his value does soar, a very good way of financing a few decent players at this level, we've done that before. Can we set him up to score against Brazil?
