Following Cressers' post below, how about a decade since....
we were last in the English league's second tier.
This Thursday will mark the day we were relegated from the Championship after a 2-1 defeat by Derby.
That's just not right for a club of our heritage.

Not only us though, surely

its not as if we have never escaped relegation from the 2nd tier on the last day, used to be the best day of the season several times!

Fact remains that we've never been out of the top two divisions for this long.

Coincidentally, Derby got relegated from the Championship today. Looking forward to welcoming Wayne Wonder Coach to Fratton next year.
