Its upsetting that once again next season we have to put up with the realisation that we are the poor relation amongst the south coast clubs. Here we are languishing in a wretched lower league with no realistic hope or even expectation of a return. With owners whose backing, or lack of it, means that we shall once again be looking for free transfers and loans. Even, we are told recently as if it was a development to be celebrated, dipping into non-league to obtain bargains.
What have our great fans done to deserve this?   Whats happened to our once great club?
The ironic thing is Pangus is that we REMAIN the highest achieving club on the south coast. However, what have Brighton and Bournemouth got/done that elevates them to the Prem?

Is it just luck with owners or our bad luck with cash laundering nasty's?

WE DO still remain a great club but is is very galling - and as for cheap transfers etc apparently we need about 12 Jamal Lowes ( in their respective positions) - Oh dear
But PUP.

They have not said they are only looking at non-league, every club scouts non-league. What’s the problem? You’d rather we keep developing other teams kids for them or sign those with potential from non-league and improve them?
I dont give a monkeys where we get the players from as long as we play decent football with a bit of passion and commitment. At the very least get us out if the third division. If we need some sort of encouragement with what can be done look at Luton FFS. Not that long ago they were national league. There is still an outside chance they could be in the Prem and that's with Sonny Bradley in their side.
We deseve better than this.
PUP PTID.
The financial system is now designed to keep clubs in the higher leagues there or get them back as quickly as possible. Parachute payments encourage the payment of wages that cannot be afforded. In both the champ and out own league, relegated clubs are allowed to spend more than those already there. That needs government intervention as it is anti competitive.
I don’t give a toss about any other south coast clubs, unless we play them.

They can languish in their own respective leagues, paying a bloody sight more to watch their football and moaning about just the same sort of things we do. And if they aren’t doing it now, they soon will be.

Fuck em!
spot on!
double the price of a ST to watch a lot of losing games?

and most sadly for me, such clubs don't even try and get a run in the cups these days.
The pendulum swings.
It is our turn to be on the downward cusp and, make no mistake, six seasons in the third tier is NOT good enough. However, as mentioned above, none of the other south coast clubs can hold a candle to our achievements.
As Rick once said: "We'll always have Paris"
I never had her
And still, we have won more then all the other south coast clubs put together. Wink cheer up PUP.
We just need a proper plan for next season put in place now, Not last minute.

We need to get promoted next season & if that means the Eisners have to inject some cash so be it.

Also, we need a new main sponsor asap as Portsmouth University is exactly a household major brand.

I watched a bit of the Cherries v Forrest & both have major sponsors Vitality Insurance & Boxt Boilers.

We need to be aiming a lot higher & generating more advertising revenue.

The club's Commercial side appears to be Non-existent!

Lol me neither, pretty sure most of the country know who Portsmouth uni are though.
2 word - Trophy and Cabinet. We've still got more then them all together. Yes it's frustrating, but we have soul, none of them do.
Clearly the sponsorship worked if you hadn't heard of the boiler company before, but know about it now. But in associating ourselves with a brand it should be a reputable one - not a shabby payday loan or gambling company - and stadium renaming should be off the table; Fratton Park it is, and ever shall be.
Well it didn’t work because I hadn’t heard of it until someone posted on here! I’m also not inclined to find out more about them.
ITV weather sponsored by Boxt Boilers
Should be
Go Daddy or
Just eat

Nail on the head Sussex, we have soul, they are plastics.

I used to have a soft spot for Bournemouth but they have become just like the others. The fact that they play at ‘the Vitality’ sums them up.
Ditch the shirt sponsor completely let's just be Pompey not an advertising hoarding which is bigger than the club badge.

Lol and then moan about a lack of investment?
I've never moaned about a lack of investment, and do wonder what % of our turnover comes from giving ourselves up to advertise whatver it is.
Just be thankful that it's still called Fratton Park. But I wonder if Eisner's got his eye on that as a way of generating revenue without putting a penny in.

It’ll always be fratton park but they should absolutely get a sponsor.
