Great news

Great news  Smile .
The transfer business so far has been very positive. Keeping what we want, off loading the others. Plenty to do of course but it is coming together for a competitive team next season. Certainly a good basis anyway.
Very Good News indeed! Does anyone know about Jacob's yet?
Great news, excellent player for this level, even puts in the occasional Cruyff turn to keep our hearts in our mouths.
One less pair of legs to get through the door. Strongest xi looking like:

Bass
Freeman raggett robertson ogilvie
Harness Thompson Morrell tunnicliff Hume
Curtis

Positions to strengthen look obvious.
So much for the negative moaners who knew it was obvious he was going because he put a house up for sale.
Great signing. Tbh if someone is out of contract, clearly good enough to play in the league above and puts their house on the market, fans are entitled to draw conclusions.

and to be proven wrong.

They could alternatively have listened to the explanation given by the player, which funnily enough proved to be the truth.
Player of the Season Stays, Shock!
Good news indeed. Now for a few good new signings early in the window please so the team can gel from the start.
Would have been happier, if it was Jacobs. But a good player at this level. I think this maybe he's level, but hopefully next season league one, and the following season championship. Then we will see how good he is, vs the championship strikers.
looking at previous players of ours who have played in the champ (Sonny.... ) suggests that Ragget is good enough for a promotion team's first season at least.
Sonny Vs Raggett

Sonny all day.

Raggett looks, like bambi on ice.

Raggett doesn't look like a football player.

Bradley was very average when with us, nowhere near as important to the team as Raggett is now.  Bradley may have improved after he left but while he was here he was never even a regular first choice.
Sonny played most games when he was here, in a very poor side.

Look at the players Raggett has around him.

And Raggett is only important as, Burgess and Clarke are not here. Them two are in a different league to Raggett.

Also remember the end of last season, when he was not even in the team, and people wanted him gone?.
EssentialMix seeing something completely different to everyone else. Imagine that....
A lot of people were on Burgess's back too, Oi Oi for one. Raggett acquitted himself really well last season, scores a lot more goals than Burgess does and wins 90% of everything that comes his way in the air. Burgess was good but I don't see him as ´in a different league` to Raggett (unless you mean he plays in Belgium). Fair enough Raggett may not be as good as Clarke but he's a good defender at this level and could probably do a job in the Championship. He made umpteen excellent blocks last year, diving in front of everything and his positional sense got better and better.

Raggett scores a lot more goals than Whatmough but does n't score a lot more than Burgess.
If we had all 4 of this CB at the club, this would be my order.
1st Clarke
2nd Whatmough
3rd Burgess
4th Raggett

Very few players make the jump from league one to the championship. Just look at how many teams yoyo from championship to league one.

He is a good league one defender.
if they play to his strengths as they finally did, ie let him go and win the ball, especially in the air and let the other defender tidy up, and crucially let him go looking for goals from corners, then he is a real asset.
Not true Realist, he’s scored more for us than Burgess and has played about 60 less games
Sonny Bradley is an interesting one. Attitude wasn't right - told fans to fook off away at Exeter - but then that was under Ritchie Barker, one of the worst managers we've had in living memory.
Blooming fantastic news - negative comparisons are pointless.

RAGs is the here and now our realistic future.

His game has improved so much, and I believe he is very genuine about his delight in remaining here.
I reckon how it all ended at Pompey was the kick up the arse Bradley needed. He had some ability but couldn't be arsed when he first turned up. Fancied himself throughout his time with us. Seems to have done something with himself afterwards - fair play.

He was right about our fans that night in Crawley as well to be fair. Saw it first hand.
