Should have been at least 2-0 up at H.T. Subs far too late out thought again by by Karl Scouser Robinson. Does Kenny know it's 5 Subs Now?

Not sure Kenny is tactically aware enough to use 3 subs properly let alone 5. And if other teams do what Oxford did and replace 3 at once I worry that KJ doesn't have enough nous to counter a sudden change in tactics.
Said the same thing here tonight. 5 subs should really be an advantage to the clubs with larger squads. But that doesn't apply if you're Pompey because Ken does struggle to use two.
I thought our biggest problem was the lack of quality on our bench, not a game changer amongst them, no better example than Morris, what did Jackett think he was going to bring to the game ?

Morris for Cannon said it all for me.....we’re going to hold onto the point we’ve got

Given today’s starting eleven, the only player who might be an improvement is Jacobs, shows signs of a decent first touch and the ability to thread a pass, of course Jordy might bring something as well but he seems only peripheral in Kennys plans.

Points dropped tonight, three good chances wasted in the first half and on the back foot as soon as Oxford made their changes.
Need to put games like this away if we are serious.

Very true, but who would you bring on athough I think I would have brought on Williams for Curtis and left Cannon and Harness on.Anyway thank heavens for ragnaldo
Isaac, that’s the issue isn’t it ? Who could we have brought on, we have a bench of near non-entities and not a game changer between them. I thought Jacketts half time. changes against Crewe were very timely and did change the game somewhat but Morris was never going to do that last evening.

'Clearly, Oxfords 3 subs did change the balance of the game and we didn’t have the bench players to counteract the shift.

I would have given Jordy a last 15 minute burst to to change our approach, Harrison and Marquis had become predictable and apart from one excellent chance at the death we threatened little from open play in the last 15 minutes.

Injuries to Naylor and Cannon would completely shaft our centre-mid, similarly Marquis, Harness and Curtis, we just don’t have adequate cover let alone game changers, something that needs to be addressed in January.
Spot on Wightblue. We've got a weaker squad than last season. Morris & Close are L2 at best. Williams for me is all huff and puff, great workrate but not very much end product, Pring,Downing & the Viking are average at best and we've still to see what Hiwula? has to offer. The only other decent player is Jacobs.

With no money coming in and wage/squad restrictions I cant see much improvement in January
No player with his head screwed on is going to sign for a club who will be appointing a new manager in the summer in the last transfer window they have before the next round of financial fair play rules kick in.

It'll be loans or nada.
A lot of players won't have a choice, sign where they can or be on the dole (Jordi case in point)
