Full Version: Quality of crosses and corners

Despite there being many deficiencies to our play on the weekend, you couldn't say that the quality of crosses was poor.

The build up play was too direct or too slow but when we did eventually get round to putting the ball into the oppoments area, the quality of it was consistently good.

Reeco did not have a good game (to put it politely) but he was allowed by their defence to pootle down to the corner flag, cut back and have enough space and time occasionally, to float in some balls with his left foot. His output needs to quadruple if he wants to retain his place imo. Quality of ball in was ok though, if not entirely predictable.
Reeco should be kept as far away from the starting line up as possible.

I don’t know if anyone else noticed it but in the Euros the ladies’ crossing and corners were generally excellent and could teach the men a thing or two about getting their balls in the box.

I think Recco will just be a squad player, now we’ve got Dale.
Reeco definitely should have scored but managed to volley over the bar. From what I've seen he's good as an impact sub just lacking experience.
Reeko is a bit of a conundrum. Over a season he would probably score some important goals but is still very inconsistent. Maybe a better player away from home where you need some extra energy and there is less pressure on players
