Yep, he is a brave man taking over with the state of the squad and the board are equally brave for appointing him. I can’t see Hughes and Cullen surviving if this goes tits up.

One hell of a gamble.
If true it will either go belly up very quickly or be an outstanding success.
Hope it's the latter.
Having read his bio he sounds like a leader.

Sky sports saying he will be in the stands Saturday, verbally accepted but needs to be sorted with Oxford.

He'll probably be bl***y well playing!
Couldn't do any worse at present.
The News have suddenly taken the story down
I'm underwhelmed and unimpressed, but that could change, maybe.
The News certainly seems to think it's for real. If so, a quite extraordinary appointment. I'm surprised he even applied.
Oxford haven’t given permission to release him yet so there’s still hope.
Talk about scraping the barrel. I'm Disappointed to say the least.is the best we can get???
Certainly a brave appointment but unlike Cowley he’s played the game recently in the Championship, L1 and L2 and captained the Burton side that avoided relegation from the Championship.

Could be a Michael Doyle type and he might bring in similarly minded staff.

I read that he was approached.

Could be a disaster or a shrewd and inspired appointment - let's see.

Sky sports news reported it also, seemed to know what was happening.

We apparently turned down Manning and Foster so they obviously see something in him.
Mousinho ,got no managerial background and he is cheap so a typical Eisner appointment.
I'm guessing there was only one question at the interview. "Will you do it for the money?" He was the only one to say yes.
If he is appointed, obviously we all hope it's going to be success and give him a chance.
He's got a big job on his hands, to say the least.

Let's be honest, we've been in this league far too long now, the disappointment of this season is going to make it tough for any manager.

Fingers crossed the season ends well.

Maybe it's a typo and we've got the hopelessly misunderstood "Special One"....

If so, Raggett is fecked.
As long as there were no questions on “milling” I’m quite happy.
Well, if it is him then I hope one clause is that an experienced No.2 is appointed to act as a guiding hand.

I was very against this but when you take time to digest it

He got his coaching badges whilst coaching Oxford, whilst having to stay match fit and whilst being the head of the PFA. He must be a very focused and driven person to be able to do this.

It also looks like he’s been scouting players that we need (tweet about a LOI player other day same source tweeting today and naming him)

Looking at Oxford tweets they would rather Robison left then him.

McKenna & Schumacher We’re both gambles
I just hope that he is a nice bloke, don't care about anything else
Remember Frank Burrows, a lot of people said who? When he came in first time. Ok he came in as a coach but he did all the work.

That made me chuckle.

Every appointment is a gamble, some work some don’t, no one knows if he’s shit or not.

Hopefully he’s also been scouting a keeper.
Was he once on a coaching course with Richard Hughes?
