Would like to see him start a game. Looks comfortable with the ball and can produce something unexpected.
With you on that one

I'd be happy starting him if we had to, but wouldn't choose him ahead of either Harrison or Harness to play alongside Marquis.

He is the perfect sub. Bring him on the the last 20 mins to scare people with his pace.

But he must be about the best unwanted out of contract player that we could have signed.
Didn't see much evidence of him scaring people yesterday. Credit due for a great strike but he never took on the right-back like we were expecting and ruined three good moves by getting caught offside. Maybe this will come. That said, I would choose him (or anyone) over Harrison.

Can't agree with that.

Harrison, like Hawkins before him but more so, is far more important to the effectiveness of the team than his own personal assists and goals tally would indicate. Some players are team players rather than brilliant individuals and Harrison is a very good example of one and every team needs one or two of them to make the team better than it would be if you had better individuals playing in their place.

Apart from anything else our defence at corners is far weaker when Harrison is not playing (Oxford play-off excepted).
Deep, I think you are likening Harrison's contribution to teams in a similar style to Eoin Doyle (making a team better than the sum of their parts whilst not setting the world alight individually).

Is that right?

I'm curious as to what attributes you think Harrison brings that are unique to him when compared to other players in the squad
Double post, soz
I'd try Harness and Hiwula up front

He's the only target man type forward that we have in the squad. Like Hawkins was, but Harrison is faster and more mobile as well.

If only he was greedier in front goal he could be a regular goalscorer like he was for a season at Rovers. As he is he is a ten goal a season man if you are lucky, but still worth his place in the match day squad for making the team better when he is on.
Hiwula just needs more game time. He's hardly played for the last 6 months I believe. But he took his goal well & was on the shoulder of defenders waiting for the through ball but got caught offside a few times but that will come. Agreed, about being an ideal last 20 minutes sub & has pace & good ball control. Harrison, is very good in the air & wins all the high balls with flick ons for other forwards. Holds the ball up well. Ideal foil for Marquis & Hiwula.
Would have been a better option than Harrison last night. Plays on the ground and would have prevented us reverting to long ball tactics with 20 minutes to go.

We'd been playig it ont he ground to Williams etc for 70 mins and got nowhere.

Surely it made sense to try a different approach - and it very nearly worked. Harrison won a long ball and laid it into the path of Marquis a few mintues after being brought on. Had Marquis hit the target instead of missing everyone would have been raving about the inspired substitution (or more likely blaming the manager for not playing Harrison from the start in what was always going to be a physical game).
