Just a thought, how long before some smartie tries to cheat/implement a tactic borne of the free dropped ball rule now seen quite frequently ?

IE - the ref in the right spot on the edge of the box - call a teammate's name but accidently ( on purpose) ....... hit the Ref .

Result -  free ball in a dangerous position ?

If you've already got possession the ball what is the advantage of getting a free drop and giving the defence a chance to re-organise and then getting possession again from the dropped ball ?
