Do we hold training matches playing two teams, one parking the bus with a bank of five defenders and four midfielders five yards apart vs a 3-5-2 formation?
We play well against "open" teams but often seem to struggle against those coming for a draw. Yet these are games we should really be winning more of if we want to get promoted.
This is exactly the sort of non-professional and inexperienced insight I think we are lacking. Why can't Mousinho and his coaches think of this? So many sharp tacks going to waste on this board

The reason we struggle against teams that defend in numbers is because all teams struggle to score against teams that defend in numbers. It's bloody difficult to break them down when they play like that, especially when they do it as efficiently as Cheltenham did yesterday.  The disruptions of injured linesmen did not help either.

We didn't play at our best -it was a poor performance - but despite that we hit the post , and created two decent chances that unfortunately fell to defenders in Shaughnessy & Ogilvie, and created an open goal for Saydee which he made the same sort of hash of as he did in that friendly at Havant last year.

And we are one point from the top of the league with 42 games left to catch up that one point.
Seems a fair suggestion. It might lead to Mousinho completely changing his tactics.
