What’s the atmosphere like the south stand these days? I want to take my father in law and partner to their first Pompey game with me and I want to make sure it’s a good experience for him. I’ve never sat here before only ever sat in various places in North or Fratton end. The only seats available in south lower next to the Milton end. Would it still be a good atmosphere sitting here, any feedback would be much appreciated! Thanks

If you can get tickets towards the fratton end, half way up, the atmosphere is OK.
Fratton isn't yhe cauldron it used to be. Not by far. Nowadays the team have to play well for the noise to arrive. The fratton end still sings but everywhere else is average.

On the other hand, you won't have to keep siting and standing which can be annoying as you get older and the joints creak.
