What’s the atmosphere like the south stand these days? I want to take my father in law and partner to their first Pompey game with me and I want to make sure it’s a good experience for him. I’ve never sat here before only ever sat in various places in North or Fratton end. The only seats available in south lower next to the Milton end. Would it still be a good atmosphere sitting here, any feedback would be much appreciated! Thanks

We have enjoyed sitting in the South upper. As we have got older, constantly being forced to stand and sit in the Fratton End has been less fun. With no ST at present, there is rarely the chance to sit in the FE.
As regards atmosphere, the upper south has always been rather more staid.
South lower is much more expensive from clicking on the seats there. You could find a lot of space until just before kick off as the hospitality is sent down there I think.
