In a team of very good players and youngsters from Alan Ball's youth team, he added a really useful bit of steel.
I don't seem to recall his collecting a lot of cards of either colour either.
However then you almost had to break someone’s leg to get a yellow.
Always looked like he was at gunpoint, when taking corners.
