About time.
Our Head of Recruitment has presided over year on year of underachievement. With one or two exceptions - Championship quality players like Colby, Pack and Morrell (although the latter was down to Cowley's personal connection to his family) -  six years in League One tells the real story. I hope Hughes is allowed carte blanche to bring his own man in.
Not sure if boardman was to blame but whoever oversaw the debacle of allowing Burgess and Whatmough to leave for nothing and replacing them with Raggett & Downing needs his bottom spanked.
Really hard to judge to be honest. Hard if he was looking for players to suit Jackett and then the very different Cowley

Couldn’t stop Whatmough going.
Raggett partnered Burgess, he didn’t replace him.

Whatever we think of him he must have something going for him if he's moving to a Prem Club
He's got his work cut out at Everton, a lost cause for the last decade, how they have manged to stay in the prem is beyond me.
