We have made enquiries with the Tractor Boys about taking central defender George Edmundson on loan for the remainder of the season. He was a key figure in their promotion last season.
We tried to sign him when they did.  He would be as good a centre back as you could expect to get in a January window.
At 6”3 and 26 years old, having had experience of promotion certainly fits the mould in the type of player we like to sign these days.
Would be a good signing because we can't get promotion with Raggett.
Experienced young & tall. The 3 main attributes needed. Looks like we're now their line supply team.
If the owners follow their blueprint we'll definitely get promoted & hold our own in the Championship.
But the owners need to be prepared to put their hands in their pockets!

They won't spend money on the playing squad.

You might have to eat your words Wink
Titchfield, trolling again? Raggett has probably with Shocker and Pack been the most consistent in the last 8 games or so
Am I missing something here ??

What has Michael EISNER failed to do? He is far too astute a business man than to gain promotion to a higher league only to fold because we did not have the players of quality to support our longevity.

This will not happen , he will support viable players purchases - only he will not shout about it from the rooftops !
Would be a very good signing.

Of course we can.  Big Grin
A loan for six months and then the chance to buy might well by a good deal. If he is good enough for the champ if we go up, and clearly good enough for this level if we are still here.
This would be a superb bit of business

Probably JM is under orders to keep us in this division.

Yeah, Yeah, Yeah.
Cant believe you wrote that, Foxley
I sometimes wonder why anyone would try and improve Pompey at all.
