Well, there isn't such a thread but if there was....

......Scummers have posted a loss of almost 100m after interest and tax for last season with 14.5m spent on changing managers. That's Hassenhuttl for Jones and Jones for Selles and all their obligatory entourages.

While PL clubs know that even if they get relegated they will still get a nice fat financial cushion to tide them over, they'll continue to try and spend their way out of trouble. Time to ditch the parachute payments and see if that delivers a wake-up call to common sense and financial responsibility and leveling of the playing field for other Championship clubs.
It won't change, all the time there are agents asking for the world
Losing nearly £100 million in a year after getting £30 million for Ward Prowse is pretty bad
Look where Mingi’s agent got him. Might drop out of the league with Colchester

These are figures to the end of last season. I think W-P was sold in the summer.
So a trifling £70m loss for the year then.
That loss will shrink by a further £60m for Lavia to Chelsea about £40m for livramento to Newcastle and anout £20 m for tella. They managed to get top dollar for alot of dross.

Luckily, Gerry,  there IS a thread. Hopefully the choke has already started and the losses get bigger.
The bottom of the Championship is getting interesting. Only 2 points separating Plymouth in 16th and Sheff Wed in 23rd. In fact Wednesday have really pulled their fingers out 15 points from the last 6 games.
Looking a little higher Sunderland with 7 points from a possible 30 are only 7 points above Plymouth, seems like a good call getting rid of Mowbray  Wink
Shows how hard that league really is.
If we make it, we will certainly need an amount of strengthening throughout the team.
Yak,

As Mentioned before - the Eisners are very pragmatic and shrewd businessmen.

I cannot believe, for a minute, that they have/will support us in getting to the Championship - only to see us fail to stabilise at that level, before making the essential preparation for the next, very big step.
Parachute payments should never have been allowed. They seem entirely anti-competitive. Surprised they’ve never been challenged. You get relegated, you should take your medicine, not be given private treatment.

IIRC, the Scummers mortgaged themselves up to the hilt with an Aussie lender and it was a real financial millstone. Shame.
