See after AFC Hutwood, who play at Fleming Park in Eastleigh, filled a container of used football boots for David James Football Rebooted charity they asked him if he would play a game for them. True to his word he turned up this morning in Eastleigh for their league game with Maidenheath United. He played first half in goal and came out on pitch in second period and went and scored the winner in a 2-1 win.  Bloke is an absolute diamond.

Plus he said he'd play for us at a reduced salary when things were bad for the club.

never took football too seriously which is a very good thing

A player that genuinely loved playing for us just as much as we loved having him. There were quite a few who were in that camp:

Jamo
Linvoy
Benjani 

To name just a few from that era. All bitten by the pompey bug and we loved having them.
