Great end to a sad time for you Smirns

An absolute emotional rollercoaster Ride of a day Big Grin god bless the Pompey family. Our city, our club.
Great stuff. I'd be telling Lane and Kamara that their pre season starts now so get your hooves up lads. Sit Marlon on a deckchair while Stevenson gets a little runaround etc etc.
A wonderful wonderful season. Any previous Pompey squad in the Eisner era would have folded under the weight of a scarcely believable number of injuries. These lot just said "Next man up". The manager never once sounded bitter or self pitying about his bulging treatment room (not a euphemism), he just got on with the job and we kept on and on winning and avoiding defeat.

The player of the season will be hotly debated but we should shout out to some of the lads not in contention for that but who played their part. Saydee had a huge impact especially in the latter part of the season. He found a goal or two and some assists and changed games off the bench especially. Lang had a great start to Pompey life before the injury and was incredible in that post post January surge. Sparkes and Swanson were absolutely warriors against Peterborough when we all feared for them. Moxon's absolute rocket against Derby, Devlin being crucial in that Reading comeback. Gavin Whyte coming on and getting some important assists against Bolton and Posh. There will be others I have missed but what a season.

Edit: Reagan Poole. Absolutely immense until the injury. And Tom Lowery. A key part of picking our season up off the ground.

Agree with all that but would also like to mention Yengi who isn’t going to win POTS but did pretty well in his first season in England. 8 goals in League One at a goal every 107 minutes is pretty good anyway
Rafferty. Mr Reliable.
