Should be burned at the stake !

Have we ever had a more frustrating player than Marquis? And why is he taking penalties anyway with his record from the spot? Its a disgrace for a professional, and particularly a striker, to miss a penalty in a vital match costing us two points. A just hope that we don;t look back on those two points lost.

Also remember his miss at Rochdale. I know all strikers miss but he’s had a truck load of them this season but still has a decent number of goals. Don’t know what to think other than hugely irritated with him tonight.

Doncaster fans did tell us exactly what to expect. Worth bearing in mind that without his goals (as per Pitman a year or two back) we'd probably be fighting relegation.
Not enough goals from all the attacking players bar one ??

Harrison (is he the only other striker?) doesn’t have goals in him. Curtis bagged a few, harness got some in one burst, but really not much else to speak of. Whatever we think of Marquis we would have been in trouble without his goals and surely this shouts at incompetence from the previous regime to have only one goal scoring striker in the squad.

Surely Hammie, the £1 million plus that Pompey spent on Marquis might have been spent on a striker with, say, 20 goals plus in his boots and the £575K spent on Harrison ditto (didn’t Brentford pay Exeter £450K for Ollie Watkins).

Recruitment has in the main been dire

Can't disagree, we don't seem to have got value for money from our big money signings. Was not Harness also a lot of cash?
To go up it seems we need two at least who can score regularly. Marquis would do that every season but he needs someone else doing it too.
