I wouldn't give up on marquis just yet.
His record at donnie was almost a goal every 2 games and for us it's about 1 in 3 those are just league games.
1 in 2 is outstanding 1 in 3 is average.
Clearly something has changed or maybe it's just a loss of confidence not helped by some savage social media attacks.
Give the team 10 games to show signs of settling in before hitting the panic button.

We could go for the player with by far the best goalscoring record in league one over the past 4 years....goes by the name of Marquis.
Well it’s about time he started being a regular goal scorer rather than flapping his arms around like a demented scarecrow
If Marquis is that good, it’s a big surprise that a L1 team with more ambition than Pompey didn’t snap him up, we’re a selling club after all.
At least we steered clear of Bogle. An even more expensive Marquis type flop.

That was the certainly the case with Ross Barkley this transfer window - would’ve got a move and maybe his career back on track but fell at the hurdle marked: Agent’s Fees.
