Watched a game yesterday between Liverpool and WBA from 1980.
If there was a double red card it would have been awarded to Terry McDermott for his shocking studs first tackle on the side of Gary Owen's knee.
He only got a yellow.

Indeed. I’ve watched a few of these and just shows how football has changed, not always for the best but definitely in trying to get rid of wild leg breaking tackles. Saw an episode from Jan 75 where there was hardly a blade of grass to be seen but the players produced an action packed game with no play acting!

Watched 1974 millwall vs pompey.
They tore into each other! The fans were less than complimentary about each other .
