" Clear your lines " - firqdays - 04-10-2021
After (only) about one minute on Saturday I turned to my neighbour and expressed the wish that, fingers crossed, we did NOT attempt to play Premiership 'tip-tap-toe' passing football out of defence on the lurking Gremlin
of a pitch. The next three minutes.... and that feeling was rapidly endorsed by all those sitting in close proximity.
THANKFULLY, common sense applied and we followed the age old football tradition of "clear your lines" and 'put your foot through it' - notwithstanding that I fully appreciate playing out from defence when the right conditions prevail - especially now it is enhanced by the intelligent distribution of our class 1 goalkeeper, who, I am sure, is contributing in a big way to the ever growing confidence displayed by Rags !
