I'm amazed so many players across the country have caught covid or are having to isolate. I know its Christmas and a lot will have families with kids at school etc, etc but for players particularly in the prem on huge money who live in (probably literally) ivory towers they and the clubs should be able to manage themselves better surely.

Could be something to do with slobbering all over each other when they score and managers flobbing in the technical areas. They’ve stopped washing their balls before throw-ins as well. Unhygienic or what.

I reckon the lower leagues have introduced their own winter break - noticeably fewer games off in the Prem who have Sky breathing down their necks to fulfil fixtures.
