Gerald Sithole - slayer - 25-01-2022

22 year old 6 foot winger/striker from Gillingham, first bid rejected.

RE: Gerald Sithole - slayer - 25-01-2022

Correction 19 years old, plays as their number 22, misread it

RE: Gerald Sithole - dsmg - 25-01-2022

Is that really his surname? Should sign for another city up the road

How did that guy get through school unscathed? I was bullied for far less!

It's an African name is it not? See-toh-luh or See-toh-lay, something like that.

I don't think opposition fans will see it that way.
Probably a racism complaint waiting to happen in this day and age

If he were a teacher he would adopt a "stage name" and move on.
As a player, put his first name on the shirt instead.

RE: Gerald Sithole - West Australian Portsmouth Fan - 25-01-2022

Humorous surname, made me laugh anyway. Don’t think many would buy a replica shirt with his name on it

RE: Gerald Sithole - Pedalo_menders - 26-01-2022

Wonder if Gillingham have a chant for him? This is the type of humorous name Pompey fans make into a positive. Lets hope he's half decent!

RE: Gerald Sithole - slayer - 26-01-2022

Gerard's a Sithole, he wants to go 'oooome

Very inexperienced, only started two games for them plus a dozen or so sub appearnaces.

Sounds like another potential signing for our non-existent (so far) development squad, like Vincent & Reid.

Yes. Sit-O-lay. Emphasis on the O.

As in Ndabaningi Sitole who was leader of ZANU during the independence campaign in Rhodesia.

"Not The Nine O'Clock News" had lots of fun with the pronunciation, I recall.

Nice one, Bill. I knew I'd heard it before.
