Crowd at Stoneham - 657 - JIMBON - 09-02-2022

After a 1-1 draw at Stoneham in the Hampshire Cup the Pompey youngsters  (all u18s) went through 5-4 on pens. Toby Steward looks like a hell of a prospect in goal.

Highlight of the night though was the record crowd at the venue, officially given as 657. Now why does that number ring a bell

Is that what Westwood was crapping on about last night?

Why did a record crowd turn up for a Hampshire Cup match featuring an U18 team?

I used to love going to see the youth team play at fratton park, in the FA youth cup. Got to see some of our future
The team that knocked liverpool out included the likes of Darryl Powell, Kit Symons etc the core of Jim Smith's team. Anotther good thing Alan Ball did for us before taking on the 1st team.
