RE: Team Today - Northstander - 12-02-2022

Just got in, being one of the displaced NSL's, it was freezing in my new perch up in the top of the NSU. Pretty dire 1st half as others have said. 0.0 was a fair reflection at half time. (Raggs rescued us in that 1st half as Dsmg posted, when Donny ought to have taken the lead). 2nd half Donny fell apart from 2.0 onwards. For what it's worth Thommo was named MOTM by the Sponsors. I dont want to be a party pooper but O'Brien's goal wasn't on debut, he came on in the 83rd minute at Oxford. He did score with his 1st touch today though. Happy Days

It was perishing in the NSU. I had to go and drink more beer at half time. Glad to see that made the difference. (Think the scoreline was a bit flattering to be honest...)

I agree Scouse, very flattering

Yes, it was cold in NSU today, but I find it hard to believe it's not normally colder in the wide open NSL. We're not talking mountainous heights here.

Just watched the highlights from yesterday and what really struck me which I didn't notice as much at the game was the improvement in runs into the far post. No point in doing that of course unless the crosses are coming in but how often in recent weeks have we seen that even when a good cross has been played, there has been no-one busting a gut to get to the far post. Hopefully a sign of things to come for the rest of the season, though on the evidence so far, I would try O'Brien alongside Hirst since Walker has shown very little so far.
