League tables and positions aren't really an indicator of club size.
Sunderland are probably the biggest club outside the premiership.
Sheff wed, Pompey, Ipswich, Forest, Sheffield Utd and some more are in the conversation also.
Pompey have always been a well known huge club with a great history and that will never change.

Huddersfield won the premier (small p) league three seasons in a row. History is no guarantee of anything.
