Jamie Lindsay - DeepBlue - 13-04-2022

I kept half an eye on Lindsay last night as we are apparently likely to try and sign him in the summer after failing in January.  Thought he was lucky to stay on the pitch for the foul on Ogilvie but that apart he looked quite useful, plenty of pace, plenty of energy and he seemed to be everywhere in midfield and seemed to have that aggression that we often lack in midfield.

I'd be quite happy if we sign him on that showing even if at 26 he is a bit older than our announced transfer strategy.

Thompson had a great game

For Gillingham?  Tongue

That shot that went thirty yards over the bar was right out of our playbook.

A bit of pace injected into our team would be a good thing, probably more important to add it up front over a season. So when we get rid of walker a pacy replacement.

Hirst is very fast but I doubt we'll get him. He skinned several players last night, also did some excellent feints and turns. Gets better every week.

We might have done too good a job with him!
If we can keep him then we could build a promotion attack around him but I guess Leicester will want him playing in the champ if a club will take him and play him. I wonder what he would choose if given a say? Do Leicester see him as good enough to play in the Prem eventually?

Anyone know when he is out of contract ?

Assuming we cannot afford to sign him our best bet of getting him for another season is that he has at least another year on his contract, otherwise he is likely to find a club in the championship that can match his wages. But if Leicester want to loan him out again then we must stand a chance because he is clearly happy here and we have clearly done a good job developing him.
