Thompson as he was all those years ago would be a great signing and a significant upgrade on, say, Tunnicliffe but he is not at all the same sort of player as Jacobs so doesn't belong in this thread.
We'll see tomorrow if he is still as good as he was.

And getting back to Jacobs for a moment, is there a single person on the planet (except for Danny Cowley) who thinks Reeco is a better player than him?

Totally different player to Reeco. I would imagine playing Curtis, Harness AND Jacobs is the issue, perm any 2 from 3 and we are probably as good as most in this division. Especially if you put square pegs in square holes.

I would be amazed if Reeco ever makes it as a regular starter anywhere above the National league.
