GBR - Tufnell_Chimes - 20-05-2022

A government that does what it likes with impunity, with no accountability or even shame at what they're doing - knowing there's no threat from a compliant police authority. A government that takes bribes from foreign powers, shovels public money to mates and private donors. Demonising the poor whilst reducing them to a point of destitution, and at the same time commissioning a new royal yacht and spending $20m on a party pad in New York. Imposing restrictions on public protest and selling off media that does not give it full sychophancy.

We are now GBR, Great Banana Republic.

RE: GBR - brian bromley - 20-05-2022

that would have been a good addition to my russian propaganda thread but of course you are too childish too agree with anything I post.

I even gave you a lead in...

RE: GBR - Tufnell_Chimes - 20-05-2022

Well, 'Brian' thanks for that little window into your head. Bit strange. I thought you triggered-types were all about free speech, now you're telling people where they should post that free speech. Interesting.

RE: GBR - brian bromley - 20-05-2022

Regimented thinker exposed.

RE: GBR - Tufnell_Chimes - 20-05-2022

'Brian' if you want to comment on how this country has descended to a banana republic in two years, go right ahead - agree or disagree, whatever you want. If however, you're more interested in having your little tantrum in public, then do it somewhere else. Tell you what I'll open up a thread just for you to do just that.

And that was a party political broadcast on behalf of the metropolitan elite socialist party  Smile .

You really need to get out more Tufnell, you seem to be completely ignorant to the concept of ‘Banana Republic’. I suggest you visit a real one before spouting rubbish.

Just for the record, almost the entire mainstream media and the police are woke and left leaning. I would enjoy that while you can, it can’t last forever.

RE: GBR - scouse - 20-05-2022

Enjoy it?!? They look pretty right-wing to me.

Anyway, politics isn't binary, or even linear. It's multi-dimensional. Although that may be a dimension too far for the average gammon.

RE: GBR - Tufnell_Chimes - 27-05-2022

Going full banana. Proven to have lied to parliament, thus breaking the ministerial code so changes the ministerial code. And still conservative MPs stick by him. Unbelievable.

RE: GBR - dsmg - 27-05-2022

The serial liar is still there. Says a lot about his party.

RE: GBR - Smirnoffexpress - 27-05-2022

“Full banana”?  Big Grin Is your period due to start?

RE: GBR - Tufnell_Chimes - 27-05-2022

Smirns, full banana as in we are now fully subsumed into a banana republic - a dictatorial autocracy - but you seem fine with it. So carry on with your subservience to a posh voice. You know your place.

RE: GBR - brian bromley - 28-05-2022

So by that definition russia is a banana republic?

RE: GBR - Smirnoffexpress - 28-05-2022

I’ve never known my place Tuffers Big Grin I am a contrary coont that believes that the whole, rotten political system in this country is broken beyond repair. But a banana republic! That’s overstating in the extreme.

The really hilarious thing is that Tufnell and his ilk think that this country has a corrupt political system but his precious EU does not, you couldn’t make it up.

At least we can remove our shower of corrupt tossers, people in the EU do not have that privilege.

RE: GBR - scouse - 28-05-2022

More binary thinking from one of the board's premier binary thinkers...

RE: GBR - Smirnoffexpress - 28-05-2022

That’s a very complicated way of calling a man a coont! Did it have to pass through a twelve man committee before it was issued comrade!

So Guff, explain how you exactly you are you going to remove our shower of corrupt tossers. Other than voting for the current opposition (which for you, doesn't seem likely), what is your process?

The EU is made up of MEPs of 27 different nations all voted in by a form of PR, that does go some way to diluting corruption - meanwhile back here in little backward britain we have FPTP which collects all the power into the hands of the largest minority. A sure-fire way to increase corruption. So yeah, you've proved yourself wrong - you have made it up.

RE: GBR - brian bromley - 28-05-2022

duffers you and your gang of klingons have much to learn, your 5 or 6 year rant over brexit gets more tedious by the day as does your continued character assassination attempt at gaffer. You don't know how anyone intends to vote other than once gaffer voted  against corbyn (as did many people). We vote in a private booth for a good reason  - to protect us from the likes of you.

The EU is corrupt in very sinister ways, you claim to be a man of the world, mixing with putins circles hardly a glowing reference.

Ever been to hungary? Seen the russian mafia that run the place? Italy and it's mafia? other eu countries not contributing a cent while taking massive hand outs for sweet fa.

You are clueless, incapable of adult debate just a message board boris with many words and little wisdom.

RE: GBR - Tufnell_Chimes - 28-05-2022

Oh hello 'Brian'. Maybe you could answer for Guff, assuming you agree with him that we are currently run by a shower of corrupt tossers, how do you go about voting them out if your politics are already to the right of the current government (as Guff has previously said). Its a bit late so you've got all night to construct your considered argument. I'm off to bed. Nitez.

RE: GBR - brian bromley - 28-05-2022

lots of words little meaning.

learn the meaning of the word DEBATE.

Even if your ‘dilution of corruption’ fantasy were true Tufnell, when even a cursory glance at the EU 27 would tell you that it is not, they then hand over their power to an unelected Commission that they do not vote for and whose corruption is certainly not diluted.

You like the EU because it is not British (more specifically not English), which seems to be some pathological version of self loathing. You sound like that cretin with the EU hat who hangs around outside Parliament.

The fact that I don’t vote slavishly for the same party would indicate that I put a lot more thought into my voting than you do by the way. Regardless of the way I vote, we as a nation can remove our members of parliament (a parliament which does have real power unlike the charade that assembles in Brussels to rubber stamp EU laws).

You and your little band of EU useful idiots may wish to be ruled from Brussels, I do not.

RE: GBR - Tufnell_Chimes - 29-05-2022

In all the time I've been able to vote I've voted for three different parties - hardly slavish, and you're making assumptions that are based on nothing but your own hate against anything left of the far-right so I'll breeze over your ideas that you have about me, but thanks for the cretin remark - very you.

"...they then hand over their power to an unelected Commission that they do not vote for" you do realise that in the UK every policy our elected MPs wish to introduce doesn't make its way into law until its passed through the House of Lords, don't you.

So back to the original question: How do you vote out this shower of corrupt tossers when you refuse to vote for the largest opposition party?
Its a simple question.

….and one other question, you’re obviously rabidly averse to anything the EU does, so what are your Top5 policies they’ve implemented that you’re so against. Just five, you should be able to answer that one pretty easily.

…and whilst I’m here, ‘Brian’ this the Lego-level forum - Duplo-level is the next door down.

Hmmm. I wasn't aware that adult debate normally involved insults such as "Klingons", "clueless",etc. Sounds more like the school playground to me
