No, he wasn't.

You want him to waste £1.5 on 2 strikers? If he’d had it last season that would have gone on Walker.

It’s yet more proof that spending big doesn’t always bring success.

I think DC wouldn’t spend £1.5m on player I’d reckon he’d pick up 3 players for that instead. He likes a gamble .
On a side note, I’m quite excited to see how Reid turns out , he seems to have a decent pedigree

at least the money blown was made from cup runs first, but sadly not spent wisely in the long run.
