hackett was great first twenty minutes, tired later in the heat. Jacobs was excellent. Not sure about the new winger. needs a bit of time. Bishop - thank you - he looks like what we need. is right back playing better at left back? Still good though. Oguilvie (sp) He's great! We are looking good right now. Want to see more of Lowery - class.

Having a good squad for the first time for years should pay off as the season pans out. Should also mean we can be competitive in cup games, which might even be handy if we have to go through the pal offs!

As long as DC doesn't fall out with any of the squad?

And so long as the medical/fitness staff have got their act together and we don't get half a dozen season long injuries, as we have done for the last few seasons.

I’m not sure we can blame the medical staff ?

Somebody carries out the medicals and, I'm guessing, it's not Cowley.

I agree but your previous post seems to imply that the medical staff are not carrying out the correct treatment . I’m sure the club don’t go out of the way to buy crocked players.

I'm sure we have quite deliberately signed one or two players with long term injury issues in the belief that we can solve them. Thompson for example, which does seem to have been a very good signing.

Unfortunately, they also seem to do it inadvertently. Indeed, I seem to recall a player, I can't recall who, who was injured before he came and his employers knew it, but the medics didn't pick it up. But the main thrust of the comment, is that recruits are so fragile that they play half a game and are out for the season.
