Fa cup money - Pedalo_menders - 05-11-2022

So far we have got 75k TV money
(estimate based on this article: https://www.caughtoffside.com/2021/01/08/fa-cup-tv-money-should-be-given-to-lower-league-clubs-says-crawley-boss/ )
41k prize money
40k gate receipts (4912 x 45% x £18)
156k Total

Not bad.

RE: Fa cup money - Daniel - 05-11-2022

I’d like to think we won’t except our half of the gate money and give it to Hereford

Wtf would we do that?!

RE: Fa cup money - Hammie - 05-11-2022

as Kenny showed you can earn the money to turn an average side into promotion challengers, sadly his 1.5 million fighting fund was badly spent. I would imagine Cowley would get a lot better value for money!

RE: Fa cup money - Cleaver Greene - 07-11-2022

So. Do we want a good cup run, lots of small amounts coming in, or one big game away against a PL side that holds a big gate and a massive payday?
I'm sure plenty of Pompey fans would go to fill the seats even if the big time Charlies supporters dont.

RE: Fa cup money - Tufnell_Chimes - 07-11-2022

Home. Against tin-pot cuckoos Milton Keynes.

That's us out then.

RE: Fa cup money - Northstander - 07-11-2022

A renewal tie for our CEO

France v Denmark on the telly at the same time....

RE: Fa cup money - Hammie - 07-11-2022

a good game to get fratton end tickets and take the kids along.
Get through that and fingers crossed for an exciting third round draw and out

RE: Fa cup money - firqdays - 09-11-2022

Yea, but Hammie nothing too difficult- a nice day out in the blue half of Manchester would fit nicely - send out our young players - take the money and run !

RE: Fa cup money - slayer - 09-11-2022

We are so jaded and fed up with nondescript noone FC playing us every week, a nice big draw in better company would be a tonic for a load of us right now

RE: Fa cup money - 66zoolane - 09-11-2022

Maybe not the 'blue half' of Manchester though? Scorelines can be a shot in the head as well as the arm.

Mind, good ol' record-Wreckit Ralph could say the same about the red half...

RE: Fa cup money - Hammie - 10-11-2022

away to somewhere like spurs, not too far, likely to play a B team.

Would be my choice. Just to see their new place. More likely to get a full house too than somewhere like Man City.

What competition is that then?

PS I'd like to go to Goodison before they knock it down and move to that krappy new stadium.

Not bad.

So add on £65k gate receipts + £67k prize money
£288k Total so far from the FA Cup.

RE: Fa cup money - briefcase_wanchor - 26-11-2022

So that's Ritchie's wages covered until June.

Ist it ? How much is on a week n how much would Newcastle want?

RE: Fa cup money - Northstander - 26-11-2022

I've read 2 articles that he is on £45k a week. His family have remained down South but how much Newcastle would want, no idea

RE: Fa cup money - firqdays - 27-11-2022

Just imagine, as would be nailed on, PFC outnumbered Spurs in their new stadium versus their ( "sorry, we underestimated Pompey" ) B team !
