Exeter away predictions - Daniel - 26-12-2022

2-0 loss with another week of baffling team selection and line up.

Unless Swanson, lowery and Thompson are somehow fit for selection

RE: Exeter away predictions - Cunninglinguist - 26-12-2022

2-1 win with a much improved effort from the players.

They surely can’t get any worse.

RE: Exeter away predictions - Gerry Hatrick - 26-12-2022

Exeter have been on a nosedive since Caldwell's appointment so this would be a good opportunity to pick up points against a side low on confidence. A goal to back up early pressure is essential. With Lowery and/or Thompson and no idiotic tactical decisions I see a good win -3-1.
I'm at the point of hoping for a win in spite of Cowley not because of him.

RE: Exeter away predictions - Pompeyg100 - 26-12-2022

2-0 win, Scarlett brace.

Scarlet should be on the bench we need a experienced players not young talents whilst low on confidence

Everything crossed for today we need to turn this season around - here's hoping

RE: Exeter away predictions - Tomsk - 26-12-2022

Exeter 1 - 6 Pompey

"Ave it!

RE: Exeter away predictions - Kingo - 26-12-2022

As Basil said, "I can cope with the despair, it's the hope that kills you".

RE: Exeter away predictions - Pedalo_menders - 26-12-2022

We are in for a hammering I think. 3-1 to Exeter.

RE: Exeter away predictions - BoilermakersHump - 26-12-2022

Would love a win to take some confidence into the Ipswich game
but cant see anything other than.......

Bore draw!

1 - 1

RE: Exeter away predictions - kindofblue - 26-12-2022

Can't see where any improvement in player motivation or tactical nous will come from so 2-0 Exeter.

Yeah but he’ll start cos it’s DC.

RE: Exeter away predictions - Hammie - 26-12-2022

Boxing day games rarely reward the away trip. nil nil.
Mind you I'd be delighted to see us keep a clean sheet, the lack of is probably what is killing us results wise.
The new year will put it all right with the return to proper fitness of our first choice midfield.

RE: Exeter away predictions - Cressers - 26-12-2022

Pompey's performance will be the footballing equivalent of lukewarm sprouts and cold turkey.

RE: Exeter away predictions - Smirnoffexpress - 26-12-2022

Getting to the point where I just don’t care, but hopefully a win.

I’ve got no affinity with the owners, the manager or the team and that’s translating into apathy on my part. Only want a bit of hope that we are not going to be stuck in this greyness forever!

one way clubs used to get us tied in was to play our own youngsters, we seem more inclined to play other team's youngsters these days which is part of the disconnect for me. Not helped by the prem league weighted rules.

RE: Exeter away predictions - ForeverPompey - 26-12-2022

Greyness is exactly what this is. Not scoring, not entertaining, not going up and presumably not going down, year after year. Today did sound better tho tbh. lots of corners no outcome. unless .. 2 mins to go

RE: Exeter away predictions - Hammie - 26-12-2022

I predicted nil nil, seen it too often on bank holidays but...
I've seen far worse boxing day games. Both sides could have scored. It does look like we have several players nearly ready to reinforce the midfield now.
A play off attempt if we can find a way to score again.
at least we kept a clean sheet.

RE: Exeter away predictions - blueinbrum3 - 26-12-2022

Whatever the level of performance it is yet another rubbish result. Pompey going nowhere. Promotion talk is only for the deluded.
