Exactly why play it. Other than a nippers day out, the players and people who don't go to FP nobody else cares. Just put it in the records that we were joint winners with Salford.

I absolutely disagree. A Cup is a Cup. We're not getting promoted this year, so let's at least have something to smile about (apart from getting rid of Jackett). 50,000 who applied for tickets can't be wrong.

Its not 'really' a cup though is it. Nobody gives a flying one about it other than the sponsors and the winners. I doubt very much a L1 or L2 club have the tinpot trophy in their pre-season achievement agenda.

Perhaps what we need is to suffer a cup humiliation for the Eisners to wake up and do something quickly. As it is we're going to struggle to stay in the playoff places.

It's a lose-lose for us. They really should have postponed it because its come at the worst possible time.
If we dont beat Peterborough 3 days later (like that's happening lol) everyone will blame the distraction of the Salford game, irrespective of if we win it or not.
