Yep, the very same. Seems strange doesn't it. I think he made just 5 appearances for Wigan.

I thought that was mostly explained by his mystery injury at Wigan.

He had also played 8 games for Lincoln (with 3 goals)  before his transfer.

Fits right in with the Broken Toys policy. Great signing. He will have the bit between his teeth and this could be an inspired signing.

He had a hernia didn’t he? How footballers have a career injury free?

Got to hope he is over that and that Leam was wrong!

Is that the same Leam Richardson that signed him ?

Leam Richardson was given the "old tin tack" by Wigwam on 10th November 2022 so Anthony Scully only had a few weeks playing time with him. It looks like he got the mystery injury which turned out to be a hernia after Richardson left.

RE: Anthony Scully signs - slayer - 19-06-2023

Yes it was a hernia. A non-issue in my book. Not one of those injuries like an ACL where the player isn't the same after.

RE: Anthony Scully signs - Slagger - 19-06-2023

Not many on this board that haven’t done their hernia I reckon!

RE: Anthony Scully signs - fredscuttle`s hampton - 20-06-2023

Had most of last season on treatment table.......rusty?
Panic buy by Wigan, never played.....his agent needed new hot tub and Merc.
best position is up front leftside and has one party piece which is the step inside at the edge of the box and he curls into the far right hand corner of the net.(he is right footed)
Workrate without the ball is not brilliant, physically slight, serious pace is not in his make up.
Plenty of effort put into his game and if he gets the space around the box then there will be goals.
His limit is league 1........Champ too big a step up.

Regards the new signings and some potential signings Hancock Analysis on Twitter worth a look. Bit like racing form often it’s a good guide but carries no cast iron guarantees.

What do you think?

Let's keep it to football x

This forum used to be such a good laugh it’s a real shame what you gimps have done to it.

Which of the comedians is it who says something like,
"You have the right to be offended but I still have the right to say it"

RE: Anthony Scully signs - Cliff Portwood gave me a lift - 23-06-2023

Was it Bernard Manning?

RE: Anthony Scully signs - slayer - 24-06-2023

What have the gimps done to it, specifically?

Rubbish analysis. The key thing he's missed is that Leigh has got a nice haircut that will provide balance to our other barnet-styles in midfield.  Lowery isn't too bad but Morrell's too short down the sides and with Pack providing cover all over, I can see how this fella would fit in.

Also, he's a Capricorn.
