Bolton buildup - Cunninglinguist - 02-12-2023

Let’s start early and full of optimism.

Top v second and it’s the right way round now.

A full midfield, Robertson possibly free for that number ten role. A more mobile centre forward. A goal scoring centre half.

What’s not to like?

I fancy us for it. Had a wobble, got over it, figured out the left hand side problem, got confidence into Raggett, got confidence we can score without Bishop.

Didn’t know Raggett had a lack of confidence.

Pompey 2-0 Bolton

Morrell being available for me means he starts alongside Pack in the centre of midfield. Robertson then gets pushed forward on the right side of the attacking midfield unfortunately at the expense of loanee Kamara who drops back to the subs bench. That’s what I think should happen in the massive game coming up against Bolton, let’s just hope Morrell has learned that it’s ok to play on the edge of what’s deemed acceptable but not to cross that line especially when he’s already on a yellow

It will probably be Saydee that gives way, if Mousinho keeps to his system.

I would leave Robertson where he is. He has been our best player  for the last 4 or 5 games. Today was our best performance probably since Barnsley. Don't see why we would change it to accommodate Morrell  or Pack.

RE: Bolton buildup - Hammie - 02-12-2023

If we do change, then Robertson should move up in the middles, presumably Saydee to be a sub unless we want his muscle from the beginning.
As ever of late, my big worry is our left side. Against the best sides in the division we are open down that wing.

Surely Mousinho must have lost patience with Morrell's unreliability and will make him work for his place.
