The Big Brave Bolton Bashing, Bristol Crashing at Blackpool Bonanza (Bread) - Cunninglinguist - 25-12-2023

Called Rovers because their old ground was a dog track. Fact!

So a certain Marquis rolls into town. Raggett will be looking forward to ensuring that JM is hauled off for being ineffective, like last time.

1-2

Hopefully

It’ll seem strange having only 750 Pompey fans there. The consolation will be that they’ll will be the most ardent fans and will probably make even more racket as a consequence.

Should be a good atmosphere, the West country teams usually have fans who want to support properly.

Yeah, always rated their support.

He scored a trademark 2-yarder at Bolton last week. Let’s hope that’s it for the season.

Au contraire. They were originally called the Black Arabs which presumably means they were named after a Victorian sex toy.

Just close your eyes and believe, Gerry.

So, Whyte to start. I would say that will make us a bit narrower on the left hand side.

Not sure whether Whyte will track back like Lane does but if Pack protects Sparkes like he has before, we’ll be fine and Jack can provide the width.

I like the look of this side.

Ifollow open to watch home or abroad for this match, so even Mikey has no excuse.

Rovers have the most average record this season.

Rovers playing ok.

Pompey playing largely in front of them. I’d swap Lane for Kamara and possibly take off Robertson if he carries on as he has.

RE: The Big Brave Bolton Bashing, Bristol Crashing at Blackpool Bonanza (Bread) - dsmg - 26-12-2023

Robertson can’t keep hold of the ball at the moment and is on a yellow card. Get him off. Sparkes doing well defensively but fluffed a couple of crosses uncharacteristically. Rafferty the opposite, had some great forward runs but let his man in behind him a couple of times. Raggers and Shocker allowed to bring the ball forward and are doing it well. Kamara very mixed and can’t get the final ball right. Morrell and Pack solid. Whyte tracked back well once but not done much going forward. Bush fighting hard as usual but only a couple of half chances. Petebro, Derby, Barnsley and Stevenage all winning. We mustn’t lose. PUP

When it comes to the end of season awards, Whyte has the Hide and Seek Champion award in the bag
