I’ve vaguely heard of Ennis but then I’ve only vaguely heard a lot of the players we’re linked with. Such is the lowliness of league one and the plethora of supposed talent, languishing in the ranks of the PL also rans. It’s all a bit sad.

Ennis is in the Championship with Blackburn, a move earned on the back of being a very key member of Plymouth's promotion team last season scoring 14 goals. He scored at FP in the 2-2 draw.

He's a very strong, pretty fast, not very tall striker who had a habit of scoring late goals for Plymouth last year when they kept coming back to win games in the second half.

A million times better than Saydee, if we could get him in on loan it would be a very good signing IMO.

Does Saydee have a role do you think, Deep?

Coming off the bench to help keep possession when we are 1-0 up or maybe coming off the bench to add some physicality if we are being outmuscled. But beyond that no. I was horrified when we signed him because we saw when he was here before that he cannot run, cannot shoot, cannot jump, cannot last 90 mins and cannot stay onside. We solved the last problem by playing him deeper but the other problems remain.

He has however impressed me with his strength on the ball and his passing on the edge of the box, but it must also be said that his best performances all came early in the season in a successful team and it is several weeks since he did anything to change a game. I don't see him as someone who can lift us out of the current slump.

Yep, that’s about the size of it. He did help produce one of the few promising moments against Orient but he’s no world beater.
