Incoming...Readings Tom Mcintyre - BigSmokeBlue - 26-01-2024 Pompey are supposedly close to signing Reading defender Tom Mcintyre on a free transfer. He's left footed, 25 and quite versatile. He can play left back or defensive midfield. RE: Incoming...Readings Tom Mcintyre - bluetagagain - 26-01-2024 Thought it was right sided CB we need? Especially as we have Shocknasty and Towler to cover the left side. RE: Incoming...Readings Tom Mcintyre - Cunninglinguist - 26-01-2024 And Ogilvie, at a pinch. RE: Incoming...Readings Tom Mcintyre - bluetagagain - 26-01-2024 No he’s not, that’s why Towler can’t get a regular spot on the left . Poole and Raggett are the two right sided CB’s RE: Incoming...Readings Tom Mcintyre - Daniel - 26-01-2024 (26-01-2024, 06:00 PM)bluetagagain Wrote: No he’s not, that’s why Towler can’t get a regular spot on the left . Poole and Raggett are the two right sided CB’s Yes he is. You can play a right Footer at left centre back. Raggett plays at the right side because it’s a strong partnership with Shaughnessy (even if he’s right footed) then Shaughnessy and Towler! RE: Incoming...Readings Tom Mcintyre - Hammie - 26-01-2024 of course he could just be a good player and available and wants to move and at a club that has to sell RE: Incoming...Readings Tom Mcintyre - mikey393 - 26-01-2024 He's a left footed 6'1" Centre Back who can also play Left Back. Derby in for him as well. RE: Incoming...Readings Tom Mcintyre - Hammie - 26-01-2024 Seems a decent signing and southern. If Raggs goes when his contract expires, having a replacement in the squad would be handy. RE: Incoming...Readings Tom Mcintyre - bluetagagain - 26-01-2024 Shaughnessy will not play the right side, regardless of what foot he kicks with. RE: Incoming...Readings Tom Mcintyre - slayer - 26-01-2024 Would be pleased with this one RE: Incoming...Readings Tom Mcintyre - D'Alessandro dreaming - 26-01-2024 Woth this and the Rotherham bid for Lang supposedly being off, it is exciting times. If both these deals happen, I may produce a quantity of ejaculate usually reserved for the blue whale RE: Incoming...Readings Tom Mcintyre - BilltheCat - 26-01-2024 Sou'Wester at the ready, then! RE: Incoming...Readings Tom Mcintyre - TitchfieldBlue - 27-01-2024 Been browsing Readings forum. They say he has been injured but even when fit he doesn't get near their team. They would be happy to save on his wages and get rid. Why on earth are we going for him if he can't get into Readings team? RE: Incoming...Readings Tom Mcintyre - Cunninglinguist - 27-01-2024 Who says we’re in for him? RE: Incoming...Readings Tom Mcintyre - Gerry Hatrick - 27-01-2024 (27-01-2024, 12:33 AM)TitchfieldBlue Wrote: Been browsing Readings forum. This lad has almost 100 appearances in the Championship for Reading offers versatility at the back and is only 25. We have other options, including Towler and Oglivie across the back at the moment but he offers good cover in the event of another injury. It makes sense - we have a Championship-quality defender who was also wanted by a couple of our promotion rivals and has cost us no fee. What's not to like? RE: Incoming...Readings Tom Mcintyre - TitchfieldBlue - 27-01-2024 When you put it like that, maybe he would not be a bad signing. RE: Incoming...Readings Tom Mcintyre - Daniel - 27-01-2024 Also very similar attributes to what Poole has RE: Incoming...Readings Tom Mcintyre - Cunninglinguist - 27-01-2024 (27-01-2024, 08:32 AM)Daniel Wrote: Also very similar attributes to what Poole has Injured? RE: Incoming...Readings Tom Mcintyre - bluetagagain - 27-01-2024 Two more names on the rumour mill, although personally I think they’re both non runners. Callum Marshall - WHU/ NI striker Nectarios Triantis - Sunderland, CB https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/realistic-last-minute-transfers-portsmouth-fc-should-try-and-secure/#callum-marshall RE: Incoming...Readings Tom Mcintyre - bluetagagain - 27-01-2024 Well the Callum Marshall rumour was a load of cack, he went to WBA. RE: Incoming...Readings Tom Mcintyre - tl73 - 27-01-2024 Before Raggett joined us he was playing on the left side for his former club. RE: Incoming...Readings Tom Mcintyre - Cunninglinguist - 28-01-2024 And it’s interesting that he’s swapped sides with Shockers. RE: Incoming...Readings Tom Mcintyre - D'Alessandro dreaming - 29-01-2024 75 grand the reported fee (with a sell on clause). I know fans gave accused the Eisner's of going for the cheap option but that is a seriously good cheap option if it gets over the line. At least Dick Turpin wore a mask. Thats daylight robbery for somone of Mcintyre's calibre. Who else can we pinch from the Royals? |
