I didn't ever see him play through working away a lot.
but seems he settled into the way of life here quite well...

According to Pompeyrama he played on the first PFC match I saw in 1962 - don't remember anything about the match other than it being against Plymouth standing on a small wooden box to look over the pitch side wall!!
As Dave Dodson then got knee injuries which ruined his career. George Smith got the pacy winger John McLelland to replace him & moved Tony Barton to the left.
