Team prediction for tonight ? - DeepBlue - 08-12-2020

I'd go with

                          Bass
         Bolton Downing Rasmus
Mnoga                                 Pring
        Close     Morris      Cannon
           Harrison       Hiwula

Don't think he'll risk Harrison or Cannon, there'll be a couple of nippers in there.

Jackett has said that nobody who played Saturday will play tonight.

I’m expecting 4,5 even 6 of the kids to feature tonight in which case I hope they show more ability and physicality than they did against West Ham U21s when I thought they looked second best. I’m not sure that many of our youngsters can make the grade in League 1 let alone the Championship
With Downing and Bolton in the shop window tonight as Pompey seek to make room for an addition or two in January, I would play Close as well as he represents someone who we might be able to move on and who doesn’t seem to have much of a future at FP. Hard to see a queue for Downing and Bolton unless Pompey are prepared to soften the impact of their wages for any takers.

With the coffers at Fratton being slowly emptied by the impact of Covid, I would imagine the The Eisners and Catlin would want us to progress in the Papa John’s albeit with promotion still as the main concern.

I would expect Deep’s team but with Cannon, Harrison missing for sure and possibly Morris, Close and Nico being held in reserve as we enter a tough period with matches coming thick and fast with some early six pointers (Ipswich, Hull, Fleetwood etc).

I just hope that KJ has a strong bench in case things start to go wrong and we do enough to win, my Grandson and I will be watching on iFollow in eager anticipation.
