Hope that Charlton don’t win their last 3 games A Accy, H Lincoln, H Hull. 2 wins and a draw gives them 74 points and we will be above them.
Should they win all 3 then they will have 76 points....and we can gnash our teeth over Marquis’s own goal this evening

If we win our last two games we will be on 75

After all the shit we have been through I believe we will do it. Wimbledon are more gash than us, by far. We’ll have sussed out Accy and have Whatmough back to shore up the defence.
BTW, Whatmough should feel pretty guilty for leaving us short thanks to his 2. reckless reds. It’s surely been a factor. In the games he’s missed we look amateur when a high ball comes into our box.

the fact that we might still make the play offs really points out how the system rewards mediocre teams. Regardless of whether we get in them, get promoted or don't. I still hate the whole system.

I was also musing over the fact that a team that we have berated for most of the season, and that have failed to turn up so often, could yet win promotion. It certainly doesn't say much for league one this year and/or the play off system. However, we will at least have had a few extra weeks of tension and hopes / dashed hopes because of it.

You'd think nobody wanted to make the playoffs, it feels as if whover does make it has just about managed to fall over the line. Sunderland particularly are doing their best to fall out altogether after looking like going on to be champions only a few weeks back.
